Showcases at Treefort 2023

At Treefort, it’s not allllllllll “fort this, fort that” we also partner with other festivals and arts organizations to curate showcases that highlight various artists. Most of these shows can be found on the official Treefort Schedule, however some are “unofficial” and some are free shows, so peep the schedule below! In addition, single show or event tickets are offered for a select number of festival events.

SINGLE SHOW + EVENT TICKETS

A select number of events have tickets available. Tickets are for non-passholders OR passholders who want to guarantee entry to the event/show.

TREEFORT MAIN STAGE

Wed 3/22 – Sun 3/26 | Wristband Required | All Ages

Catch Treefort headliners and faves on the Main Stage for only $50! With a Festival, Single Day or Main Stage Wristband you can access the wristbanded area at Julia Davis Park on the day(s) you wish to attend, which includes access to programming at two stages (Main Stage + Hideout Stage), art, bars and more. You also have full access to the adjacent free area of the park featuring Alefort, Radioland, Kidfort, et al! Treefort Main Stage closes around 10pm each night.

Single Day Passes for only $100 and get access to all events happening at all venues on the given day. Perfect for those who can only attend one day. Check the schedule for fort events, set times and locations.

Wednesday 3/22: Joshy Soul + De Lux + Rogê + Angel Abaya

Get into the groove on Wednesday night at Treefort Music Hall! Playful pop rock artist Angel Abaya kicks things off, followed by Brazilian singer-songwriter Rogê. The energy only amps up from there with punk disco funk band De Lux and closes out with the soulful, dancy, highly energetic Joshy Soul.


Thursday 3/23: Blu De Tiger (DJ Set) + Brijean + Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith + Methods Body + SISTEMAS INESTABLES

Feel the beat, bop to the bass and groove with the sounds of a variety of instruments during Thursday’s lineup at Treefort Music Hall. It kicks off with Chilean experimental producers SISTEMAS INESTABLES, followed by Portland’s subliminal performance duo Methods Body. Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith will float you through the evening, then dance the night away with dreamy duo Brijean and bass prodigy Blu De Tiger (DJ Set).


Friday 3/24: Louis Cole Big Band + Tom The Mail Man + NNAMDÏ + Sun June + Bibi Club

Feel the indie rock love on Friday at Treefort Music Hall. Sunny Canadian duo Bibi Club kick things off, followed by dreamy indie rockers Sun June. One of Chicago’s most beloved indie artists, NNAMDÏ, will keep you grooving through the evening. Close it out on a high vibe with multi-genre artist Tom The Mail Man and the big and bold Louis Cole Big Band.


Saturday 3/25: Rayland Baxter + Bendigo Fletcher + Esther Rose + Mapache + Friko

If deep lyrics, serene vocals, and wailing guitars are your jam, you are gonna want to be at Treefort Music Hall on Saturday. Dynamic indie pop trio Friko open the night, followed by Americana jammers Mapache. Singer songwriter Esther Rose keeps us going strong, then catch Bendigo Fletcher fusing folk, alt rock, country and soul. End the evening with rising country singer-songwriter Rayland Baxter.


Sunday 3/26: Frankie and the Witch Fingers + Rich Aucoin + Spacemoth + East Forest Ceremony

You know what they say…”never miss a Sunday show at Treefort”! Get grounded for your final festival evening with the East Forest Ceremony, then intergalactic, avant-pop artist Spacemoth will take you back to space. Canadian artist Rich Aucoin puts on a multi-sensory spectacle, then close out Treefort Music Hall’s first fest with high-powered rock n’ rollers Frankie and the Witch Fingers.

Wednesday 3/22: Old 97s + Caitlin Rose + Parade of Bad Guys

Americana and country music fans, Wednesday, March 22nd is your night at The Knit! Enjoy three back-to-back artists who will get your boot scootin’ from 8-11pm.


Thursday 3/23: Boogie T + SoDown + The Widdler + Khiva + Skellytn 

Bass heads unite on Thursday, March 23rd at The Knit! Enjoy a night filled with weird, grimy bass and dubstep sounds, ending with the Boogie T, from 6-11pm.


Friday 3/24: MIKE + 454 + Mavi + Knwbdy + Cigs Inside 

Rap and hip-hop heads will want to be at The Knit on Friday, March 24th from 6:40-11:40pm. Catch Boise artists Knwbdy and Cigs Inside, followed by touring hip hop artists Mavi 454, and MIKE.


Saturday 3/25: Baby Jake + Butcher Brown + MIZU + N3ptune & Rusty Steve

If genre-blending artists catch your attention, you’ll want to be at The Knit on Saturday, March 25th from 6:30-11:40pm. Hear exciting and experimental fusions of R&B, hip hop, jazz, rock, and more.

Street Fever + Deeveaux Late Night Party

Friday 3/24 | 12:30am – 3:30am | Wristband or $20 Ticket (adv) Required | 18+

Start the weekend with a late night party! On Friday night (er – Saturday morning) Experience Street Fever and Deeveaux who will be spinnin’ tunes to make your groove in the sacred space of the El Korah Shrine.

Egyptian Theatre Shows

Thursday 3/23: Godspeed You! Black Emperor + Jessica Moss

Single tickets are $30 and available online pre-sale only. This show is included with a Festival Pass. All seating is GA, no reserved seating.

Movement + Music Showcases

See live music and movement performances in back-to-back sets! There are two Music + Movement Showcases happening at The Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday, March 22nd and Friday, March 25th. Admission is included with a Festival Pass or $30 presale ticket, available online or at the door. All seating is GA, no reserved seating.


Wednesday 3/22: Ballet22 + Ballet Idaho + Project Flux + WEND + Mizu

See a variety of live music and performance art under one roof! Ballet22 kicks the night off with two works that redefine the rigid gender standard of classical ballet. Ballet Idaho will present an array of bold new works from their most recent season paired with evocative and ethereal dance films from their digital season. Boise’s Project Flux will screen their new film. Boise band WEND will perform and be joined by Project Flux for a dance performance. Boise R&B music and dance collective Mizu will close out the night. 


Friday 3/25: BSU Music Dept Students + Methods Body + Ballet 22 + Ballet Idaho + Project Flux + Angel Abaya + Selby Jenkins + Delicate Steve

See a variety of live music and performance art under one roof! The night kicks off with Boise State Music Department Students will present a showcase. Portland-based performance duo Methods Body creates original sound art and music using custom tuning systems, polyrhythms, and the cadences of language. Ballet22 will perform two works that redefine the rigid gender standard of classical ballet. Ballet Idaho will present an array of bold new works from their most recent season paired with evocative and ethereal dance films from their digital season. 

Boise’s Project Flux will screen dance films. LA’s Angel Abaya will perform from her latest album, joined by dancer Selby Jenkins. The night wraps up with Delicate Steve, joined by Project Flux for a dance performance.

Konnexion Showcase 

Thursday 3/23 | Adelmann Building | 9pm-2am | Wristband or $30 Ticket (adv) Required | 18+

You know it’s June in Idaho who you see the lasers over the hills and the thumps resounding from EDM Valley in Horseshoe Bend. Konnexion Music Fest will be blastin the dancy beats in both rooms of the Adelmann Building on Thursday, March 24th.

WOH Club Showcase

Friday 3/24 | Adelmann Building | 9pm-2am | Wristband or $30 Ticket (adv) Required | 18+

Oh how we miss We Out Here’s weekly Sunday night church services atop The Reef! Good thing The WOH Club reemerges during Treefort in both rooms of the Adelmann Building on Friday, March 25th of the festival.

Esthetic Evolution Showcase 

Sat 3/25 | Adelmann Building | 9pm-2am | Wristband or $30 Ticket (adv) Required | 18+

Esthetic Evolution is a community-based, participant-driven music and art festival that takes place in Twin Springs, Idaho. The Esthetic Evolution Showcase is in both rooms of the Adelmann Building on Saturday, March 25th.

Wyoming Showcase

Thursday 3/23 | Lost Grove Brewing | 3:30pm – 10pm | Free & Open to Public | All Ages

The Wyoming Arts Council helps Wyoming-based artists perform and tour out of state in effort to build audiences and reach. The Wyoming Showcase will feature a variety of Wyoming artists on Thursday, March 23 from 3:30-10pm at Lost Grove Brewing.

Join To Entertain U and The Rap Hippy for a Showcase with a variety of Boise artists at the Basque Center on Thursday, March 23rd from 6:30pm – 1am. 

TropicoFM Showcase

Friday 3/24 | Basque Center | 6:00pm – 1:30am | Wristband or $30 Ticket (adv/door) | All Ages

Catch’em year round on the airwaves — TropicoFM reflects the diversity of ethnic backgrounds that make up Boise and beyond. At Treefort, the TropicoFM Showcase will feature a variety of music artists from around the world on Friday, March 25th at the Basque Center. 

Hermit Music Fest Showcase

Saturday 3/25 | Camp Modern | 1pm – 10pm | Free & Open to Public | All Ages

Hermit Music Festival is a high-class, low-key musical extravaganza that takes place at Indian Creek Winery in Kuna, Idaho. Hermit Music Fest Showcase will take place on Saturday, March 25 at Camp Modern at The Modern Hotel from 1-10pm.

Music BC Showcase 

Saturday 3/25 | Cyclops Stage | 3pm – 10pm | Free & Open to Public | All Ages

Music BC is an organization that works to drive the music economy by providing opportunities to further careers of British Columbia’s music creative and professionals. Music BC Showcase will highlight a variety of Canadian artists on Saturday, March 25 from 3-10pm on the Cyclops Stage. No wristband required to enjoy; free and open to the public. All-ages.

IFAA Creative Ensembles Showcase

Saturday 3/25 | Gene Harris Bandshell | 12:10pm – 1:10pm | Free & Public | All Ages

The IFAA Creative Ensembles are a collective of high school student musicians from the contemporary music program of Idaho Fine Arts Academy. Musicians from grades 9-12 have compiled a set of all original music and each song was primarily composed or arranged by students, resulting in an exciting blend of rock, pop, jazz, folk, and more.
