ARTIST’S BIO: Karina Lomelin Ripper is a Mexican-American writer and director whose films focus on the rebels, misfits, and rule-breakers. She was selected for a coveted spot in the AFI DWW+ Directing Workshop 2025. She is a 2026 Netflix/Latino Film Institute's Inclusion Fellow and a recipient of a Princess Grace Honoraria 2025. Her previous films have received a Vimeo Staff Pick, premiered on PBS and No Budge and screened at festivals all over the globe. Her feature film, Silver Blankets, was a finalist for the 2025 Sundance Catalyst and selected for the 2025 BendFilm: Basecamp workshop. She currently splits her time between Los Angeles, California and Portland, Oregon.
