The Thing is a New York band with a back-to-basics approach to rock and roll. Their sound leans into tape machines, live-band energy, and the raw connection that comes from playing together. Their self-titled third album, out last August, channels everything from The Kinks to The White Stripes across 12 no-frills tracks. Formed in 2022, the band has already played more than 300 shows around the world. Raised on Zeppelin, psych rock, and jazz, each member adds a distinct edge. The result is loud, unfiltered, and entirely their own.
