Teresa Esguerra is a drummer based out of New Mexico. She is the drummer for Built to Spill since 2020 and is also a founding member of Prism Bitch (est. 2016). Teresa graduated with a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of New Mexico in 2010. When not on the road, she continues her OT practice at an acute care hospital in Albuquerque, where she has worked for over 15 years. Her clinical interests include ICU mobilization and cognitive retraining, ergonomics, hospice, and neurological conditions. Since 2025, Teresa has used both her touring and rehab background to volunteer with Backline Care, an organization dedicated to providing mental health services for touring professionals.
