ARTIST'S BIO: From Thunder Bay, Ontario and now based in Toronto, Andrew Appelle is a two-time CSA nominee for Best Writing in a Comedy Series and has been a cinematographer on many internationally renowned television series’ and films.
Andrew was the cinematographer on Matt Johnson’s 2016 Sundance-premiered “Operation Avalanche;” a writer, DOP, and editor on the Canadian comedy series “Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie”; collaborated as cinematographer and editor with Steven Kostanski on “PG: Psycho Goreman”; directed and was cinematographer on Vice Network’s highest rated program of all time: “Dark Side of the Ring” & “Tales from the Territories” (produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson); shot Steven Kostanski’s sword and sorcery epic “Deathstalker;” and has just wrapped up directing Hulu’s “Into the Void,” a documentary series about mysterious and tragic events within the world of heavy metal.
