I’m Sam Archide, a visual artist living in Boise. My creative work is greatly inspired by books; the otherworldly and imaginative stories I read as a kid ended up influencing my decision to become an illustrator! After serving in the military, I graduated with my BFA from Boise State. I am half Filipino, and while researching my heritage I began to make art about Filipino folklore and pre-colonial practices. While these are themes I love to explore, I also enjoy creating art referencing the books and movies I grew up with. Thanks for reading, I hope to see you at the market!
