Popular Music That Will Live Forever

POPULAR MUSIC THAT WILL LIVE FOREVER takes its name from a box set of vinyl records found in a dumpster in Akron, Ohio. It's an exercise in thriftology and memoir, in which archivist/songwriter/essayist/accordionist Calvin Pineda tells the (debatably) definitive stories of various unchronicled artists: CDs, VHS and cassette tapes, reel-to-reels and records made by unknown or mysterious persons. They are interested in these objects because they believe that secretly, all media can be media about your own heart -- even alt-pop Christian new-wave CDs by men called Greg.
