Pepperoni Prada, aka Lil Pep, The Don of pizza rap, is an Italian food gangster rap pioneer and member of the rap group The Al Dente Boys based currently in Boise Idaho, with a wide range of hip-hop sounds including boom-bap and trap. Prada’s debut mixtape from 2019, Call Me Lil Pep set the tone for his thematic approach to eating Italian food, wearing Adidas and discouraging pineapple on pizza. Lil Pep released part 1 of the Kraang Saga, The Farfalle Fish Man, in 2020 showcasing old-school boom-bap sonics evident in artists such as Kool Keith of MF DOOM. Pepperoni Prada released his newest full-length record, HEY! IT’S LIL PEP in 2022 with Silverhoney Records with Part 2 of The Kraang Saga in the works; still to include a wide range of wit, style, and comedy.
