Nico Lou Monheim Carrasquillo is a writer from New York City. Her work explores themes of memory, family, violence, and the city. She holds a BFA in Fine Art from the Slade School in London, UK. She is also the founder and host of Mutt Readings, a monthly reading series which aims to spotlight emerging and established writers all over the world. Since it's inception in March 2025, Mutt has featured over 40 writers, including Bud Smith, Darcey Steinke, Izzy Casey, Jimmy Cajoleas, Will Mountain Cox, Riley Mac and many others. She is working on her first novel, Other Ways To Deal With Rats; a story about a pregnant woman, a janitor and America.
