Luan (Lu-on) Teed is a Boise-based illustrator who creates vibrant artwork full of life and rich color. She is inspired by Japanese animation, art history, everyday life, Asian pop culture, and traditional regalia from around the world. Her love of cats and the color pink seeps into her work as playful beacons of joy and hope in our busy, busy lives.

She loves to create intricate illustrations that have a fierce energy and saturated colors. Linework is her favorite part of the process. Recently, she has been illustrating tigers and dragons in her work. She was born in the year of the tiger and her art has always been a means to stay connected with her Chinese heritage. You can most likely find her at a coffee shop or a figure drawing class observing and sketching the world around her.
