Kathleen Cohen is a Tech Humanist and XR/AI Immersive Strategist with over 25 years of experience designing and delivering user and guest experiences across media, gaming, world-building, theme parks, and location-based entertainment.
She is the founder of The Collaboratorium, a consultancy focused on three core areas: XR and AI client projects, research, and public engagement. Kathleen’s work spans global media and entertainment IP, themed attractions, megacity initiatives, and emerging health and wellness platforms, helping organizations navigate complexity through immersive and human-centered technology.
Kathleen’s background includes roles as a Creative, Producer, and Executive Producer with industry leaders such as DreamWorks Interactive, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, and IBM Centers for Innovation, where she helped shape experiential storytelling at scale.
She currently serves on the Advisory Board of Aura Engine, supporting the development of immersive digital twin platforms that combine geospatial data, AI, and real-time visualization for complex decision-making. She is also an Advisory Board member of holoride, a spinout from Audi Innovation, pioneering motion-synchronized XR experiences for vehicles — first unveiled as a themed attraction at Universal Studios.
In addition, Kathleen is the Jury Chair and lead voice of the Aurea Award, an annual international XR awards show held at Europa-Park in Germany, celebrating excellence and innovation in immersive media.
