Seattle’s own In Aisle Eight seamlessly blends alt-rock, hip hop, funk, and R&B, occasionally delving into riff-heavy blues and psych rock. The group originally crystallized in early 2017 as a trio composed of Evan George (drums/production), Jason Abbott (guitar/production), and Tristen Stone (vocals/keys). Following the release of their debut album, the band expanded with the welcome additions of Hayden Lilak (bass) and Ariel de Anda (guitar/vocals), introducing a fresh layer of talent. In 2021, In Aisle Eight unveiled their sophomore album, Start Acting Strange. Representing an exciting new chapter in their artistic journey, the album features standout singles such as Arcade and DON'T, showcasing the band's commitment to pushing creative boundaries with their unique blend of funk, hip hop, and modern pop. Fueled by the collaborative synergy of these five musicians, the band continues to meticulously refine and elevate every facet of their sonic identity. Beyond their own musical output, In Aisle Eight has become a fixture in the Seattle hip hop/R&B scene, establishing ongoing collaborations - both on the stage and in the studio - with notable local artists such as Oblé Reed, Yonny, Esteelo, and more. These partnerships highlight the band's versatility and strength in continuously exploring their ever-expanding array of musical influences. With a growing influence and a reputation for professionalism in their craft, In Aisle Eight continues to captivate audiences, contributing significantly to Seattle's rich and diverse musical landscape.
