On the northeastern highways between home and someplace new lives the music of Hello Shark. Beginning in Vermont in 2006, Hello Shark is the recording project of songwriter Lincoln Halloran. With the lyrical clarity of David Berman and soft-spoken delivery behind Phil Elverum, Halloran has been an influential presence on the east coast indie scene for over a decade. The band has featured a cast of different musicians, currently Garrett Linck on bass, and long-time drummer Alex Decato. Hello Shark's music is characterized most by the honest and melancholic nature of Halloran's writing, which often skirts the boundaries between hope and regret, fear and curiosity, love and heartbreak. After an 8-year break from releasing music, Hello Shark returns with "You Were Right," the first track on their yet-to-be-announced project.
