inspired by a teenage stint of working as a quinceañera DJ, Escuby returned to his deep love of music curation, and began performing and touring heavily as DJ Escuby– playing electric sets that draw on his Mexicanity as well as a deep well of knowledge and love of contemporary dance music. As DJ Escuby, he has played venues such as the Hammer Museum, Antro Juan & Bonbon CDMX. A devoted student of psychomagic, as well as a painter and poet– Padilla now resides in the Santa Maria La Ribera of CDMX and is in the process of constructing Estudios Silencio (named in tribute to Mullholand DR.), a recording studio and listening room in the Cuahutemoc neighborhood of Mexico City.
