Chico Detour

Seattle, WA

Chico Detour plays garage rock with the kind of restless pulse that’s been echoing through young hearts for generations. Born in Seattle but wired with the untamed spirit of 1959, the band blends surf-soaked guitar lines, the radiance of early Chicano rock charm, and the raw scrappiness of 1960s garage groups.

Formed in 2024 by songwriter and frontman Sebastian Felipé, Chico Detour quickly grew into a full crew featuring members of Acapulco Lips, Peyote Ugly, Sealife, Mega Cat/Special Explosion, and Deft Lips; a lineup built for noise, hooks, and bleeding hearts. Their debut EP Too Easy introduced the band’s analog-soaked sound and earned slots at KEXP and alongside Mark Sultan, Detroit Cobras, Quasi, The Okmoniks, The Macks, Moha Saz, Low-Cut Connie, Screen Frogs, Monsterwatch, and Spirit Mother in 2025 alone!

Their upcoming six-song, tape-recorded EP steps beyond what Too Easy hinted at: sharper in identity, bolder in spirit, and unmistakably their own; if the debut opened the door, this one doesn’t just show what’s on the other side it kicks it wide open.
