Carmen Morawski

Born in Madrid, Spain, Carmen Morawski is a 2020 MFA graduate of the University of East Anglia’s Creative Writing program (the British counterpart to the Iowa Writers' Workshop). She is currently revising the manuscript for her first novel, a coming-of-age narrative set in Communist era Poland and longlisted in the 2023 Bath Novel Award Competition. A finalist for the Bellingham Review 2016 Annie Dillard Creative Nonfiction Award, her writing has also been recognized in the UK’s Words and Women prose competition, and by Nasiona and Mslexia. Her poetry translations have been published in the Hayden Ferry Review and Lunch Ticket. She has also contributed to and edited several print and online publications including the Idaho Review and Asymptote.
