Fill Your Plates with Foodfort

Calling all connoisseurs of cuisine! Celebrate the food and food systems native to the Boise area at Treefort Music Fest 2023.

As the culinary branch, Foodfort curates intimate eating experiences and works to bring local, regional and national chefs, media and culinary experts together to facilitate thinking and discussion about food in our daily lives.


Foodfort will have multiple eating experiences at Treefort 11. In addition to the return of Street Eats, Foodfort will welcome Chef Ji Hye Kim for an intimate dinner exploring Korean cuisine, BBQ champion Tuffy Stone for a parking lot BBQ, and will welcome back Chef Hugh Acheson for a special vegan lunch (details TBA soon). Foodfort dinners sell out quickly, so be on the lookout for tickets and more events announced soon!


A Night at Miss Kim’s with Chef Ji Hye Kim

Wednesday, March 22 | 6-8pm | Alefort Lounge

Inspired by Michigan ingredients and memories of her mother’s cooking, Chef Ji Hye Kim offers lessons in the history of Korean cuisine interspersed among layers of flavor and texture with every plate. Chef Kim was just nominated for a 2022 James Beard award and was one of Food and Wine’s Best New Chefs of 2021. 

The dinner will take place on Wednesday, March 22 from 6-8pm as a private event in Alefort Lounge in Julia Davis Park. Only 120 seats available. Open to the public, ages 21+. Tickets are $150 and will be on sale soon!

Street Eats

Thursday, March 23 | 5:30-8pm | Zoo Boise

A Treefort fave! This market-style shindig is inspired by the night markets of the world and will take place in Zoo Boise. Participating chefs will be announced soon! Only 275 seats available. Open to the public of all ages. Tickets are $45 and will be on sale 2/3/23!

Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em: A BBQ with Tuffy Stone

Saturday, March 25 | VIP 12-1pm | GA 1-4pm | Bus Station

Join Tuffy Stone for a mouth-watering weekend cookout. Tuffy is a six-time World Barbecue Champion pitmaster, a Barbecue Hall of Fame inductee, an author (Cool Smoke -The Art of Great Barbecue), a former Marine, a French-trained chef, and an occasional reality television star. His legendary precision and obsession with the science of smoke have made him one of the most influential people in barbecue, and earned him the nickname “The Professor.”

The BBQ takes place in the parking lot of the Bus Station on Saturday, March 25. A limited number of VIP tickets for $100 and get a meet & greet tasting with Tuffy from 12-1pm. Entry to Bus Station is free for passholders or $20/day for non-passholders. BBQ plates will be available on-site with Treefort tokens from 1-4pm.
