First Lineup Drop of Treefort Music Fest 2026 is Here and It’s Stellar!

For the fourteenth edition of Treefort, we’ve searched the globe to bring the best to Boise. With over 180 artists from as far as Australia and as close as next door! While this is only the first of many lineup drops for Treefort Music Fest 2026, it's made up of artists hailing from 12 countries and 29 U.S. states! So for now...

Microphone by James Lloyd for Treefort 2026

Get in V formation with the super buzzy, post-punk visionaries Geese. Get those disco pants on for dancy synth-pop duo Magdalena Bay. Indie sweethearts flipturn are gonna rock the first night and you’ll def “Lose Your Cool” with R&B pop goddess Amber Mark before catching everyone’s favorite indie-folk heartbreaker, Father John Misty closing it all out. In between you’ll feel the soul from St. Paul & the Broken Bones, enjoy the effortlessly cool Hemlocke Springs who is poised to bring her infectious bedroom-pop energy. OG emo band The Wonder Years will be repping their pop-punk roots alongside the unapologetic LA indie alt-rockers Blondshell and get ready to dance your ass off with INJI. Swedish producer COBRAH will bring the club bangers while garage-house DJ nimino will provide the beats with the heat…and this is just the beginning, y’all!

BONUS!! Put your hands together for a warm Boise welcome to the hilarious wordsmith Hannibal Buress and the silent but deadly Joe Pera as two Comedyfort headliners — OMG! Tickets go on sale for those tomorrow at 10am MT.

dance-pop, synth, dreamwave

Raise your hand if you were at The Egyptian in 2022 and witnessed the magic of Magdelena Bay first hand at the fest. For those of you who didn’t catch that magical experience, we get to do it allllll over again (except this time on the Main Stage!)

I kiiiiinda don’t think you’re ready for the magical, masterful pop music of Magdalena Bay (a duo from Los Angeles composed of Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin). Their shows are full of glitz, glam, spandex, costume changes, interdimensional portals on stage(!?) and more. They opened for Billie Eilish’s London tour this past summer, and have just kept going up and up. They play Main Stage on Friday (3/27)!!

post-punk, blues, art rock

We’re about to have a whole lot more geese in town and no, not the ones who honk at you! Post-punk up and comers Geese are having a moment right now, and rightfully so. Calling them an indie rock band is like calling Ramen soup. There’s so much more depth to it. In the past five years they’ve risen to critical acclaim, even playing Jimmy Kimmel just the other week!

Their new album, ‘Getting Killed,’ is out now. Garage riffs are layered upon Ukrainian choir samples; hissing drum machines pulse softly behind screeching guitars; strange, lullaby-esque songs are interspersed with furious, repetitive experiments. With ‘Getting Killed,’ Geese balances a disarming new tenderness with an intensified anger, seemingly trading their love of classic rock for a disdain for music itself. Bop along with their hits Saturday (3/28) at Main Stage.

soul, R&B, smooth grooves

Amber Mark is a soulful, groovy, deeply incredible vocalist, whose music harkens back to OG 90’s R&B (her Sade covers are outta this world, stop reading and go listen now if you know what’s good for you) all with a modern twist. Having lived all over the world, Amber Mark blends her deep knowledge of international styles into a stunning musical tapestry, revealing new intricacies with every listen.

You may have caught Franc Moody playing their Amber Mark remix of the song “Lose My Cool” at Treefort Music Hall earlier this year during the fest–absolute banger, and we can’t wait to hear the original LIVE! Amber Mark’s talent is truly unmatched, and over the years she’s grown a loyal global fanbase all eager for her next move. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Main Stage on Sunday (3/29)!

indie rock, folk, pop

Yep, Mr. Tillman will be gracing Boise with his presence. For those who don’t know, Joshua Tillman, better known as Father John Misty, has been an indie mainstay since the band’s conception in the early 2000’s. A former member of Fleet Foxes, FJM has been turning out incredible music for years.

While we can argue that his main genre is indie-folk, there are elements of pop, jazz, chamber orchestra, global influences, and sooo much more. His tune ‘Real Love Baby’ went viral on socials this past year, so whether you’ve been following him since the early aughts or just managed to hear that song scrolling TikTok, you know him and you LOVE him. Catch FJM headlining Main Stage on Sunday (3/29)!

indie rock, alt-pop, new-wave

Flipturn has been a band since their high school days in 2015, and their music has grown along with the band from college house shows in their home state of Florida to headlining festivals nationwide, garnering their reputation as an indie rock powerhouse.

By the time flipturn released their debut album, Shadowglow, they’d become genuine road warriors while still in their mid-20s, supporting the record with a nonstop string of tour dates. That dizzying experience inspired the band’s second release, Burnout Days. Caught halfway between 21st century indie rock, New Wave-inspired nostalgia, and rhythmic alt-pop, Burnout Days finds the beauty that exists between five friends, even in times of burnout. Flipout over flipturn at Main Stage on Thursday (3/26)!

modern soul, R&B, funk

St. Paul & The Broken Bones are a powerhouse soul ensemble from Alabama known for their electrifying live shows and impassioned vocals. Featuring keys, trumpet, trombone, sax, and a whole lotta sass from the vocals. Their new self-titled sixth album marks a creative renewal—melding the band’s adventurous spirit with a return to soulful, song-focused roots with blends psych-funk grooves, gospel-tinged ballads, and cinematic rock flourishes. Over a decade of evolution, and the most badass cape you’ve ever seen on stage, we’re gearing up for a game changer of a show live on the Main Stage Saturday (3/28)!

indie art-pop, 80’s synth inspired, R&B

Once upon a time, there was an artist named hemlocke springs who dared to create fantastical worlds by weaving hyper-personal tales into exuberant, ’80s-inspired art-pop anthems. JK this ain’t no fairy tale helmocke springs is real and she is CRUSHING IT . Dubbed one of Chappell Roan’s fav artists, and playing alongside the likes of Doja Cat and Ashnikko, hemlock springs is coming up in the world of pop, fast. Combining bedroom pop hits with groovy synth riffs and R&B soulful lyrics, hemlocke springs is gonna change yer world. Catch her on Main Stage Friday (3/27)!!

acoustic folk, indie-americana, country

While he rose to fame thanks to his cover of Tyler Childers’ “Jersey Giant” becoming a viral juggernaut, Evan Honer’s easy listenin,’ alt-country, americana, full-hearted folksy goodness belongs on everyone’s playlists. He started making music while still in high school, and the heart of his craft has grown along with him as he quickly remade himself into a road warrior, balancing the challenges of early adulthood with an unbending commitment to music. His latest work has become even more eclectic, with horn arrangements, pedal steel swells, and even contributions from his roommates!. At the center of that sound is Evan Honer himself: an acclaimed songwriter, storyteller, and bleeding-heart vocalist who, after years on the move, has learned to slow down a bit and appreciate the moment.

“My life completely changed this past year,” he says. “I’m learning to be happy with where I’m at. I’m grateful that I get to stand onstage and sing songs I wrote in my bedroom, and people know the words and sing them back to me. How can you be upset about that?”

indie art-pop, 80’s synth inspired, R&B

Turkish-born, NYC-based artist INJI (Inci Gürün) is flipping the script on dance-pop — fusing whip-smart lyrics, floor-shaking beats, and razor-sharp wit into club anthems that hit hard on the dancefloor. Though she started as a classically trained pianist, she’s turned to cheeky house bangers. She’s slayed at fests like Lollapalooza Paris, Osheaga, and Outside Lands. Get ready to shake your booty and call out your awful ex while singing along to ‘GASLIGHT’ at Main Stage on Friday (3/27)!

alt-rock, pop-punk, emo

Join us in celebrating the 10th Anniversary Tour of The Wonder Years’ seminal album ‘No Closer To Heaven’! These Pennsylvania pop-punk heavyweights have cultivated a strong following over the last two decades, with 7 studio albums and countless singles. To celebrate 10 years of ‘No Closer To Heaven’ they remixed and remastered the album–but you get to see it live. The lyrics are deeply personal, the riffs are emotionally charged, and the mosh pit shall be bumpin.’ From rippin’ on stage at Warped Tour, Riot Fest to Boise: we are beyond stoked to catch them play on Friday with thrashy guitars, and frontman Dan Campbell’s signature unhinged vocals taking centre stage.
