Filmfort is partnering with Boise-based production house Different Animals Cinema Services to award a full equipment and crew package to the Director with the best short film pitch!
The winning proposal must feature a short film concept that can be shot in a single 12-hour day within 30 miles of the Treasure Valley (Boise).
The Different Animals Prize Package includes a complete cinema camera package with cinema lenses, as well as an experienced film crew, including a Director of Photography, Gaffer, Key Grip, 1st AC, 2nd AC, and Location Audio.
Additionally, the winner will have access to a fully stocked Grip Truck & Lighting Package and up to 12 additional crew members from Boise’s indie filmmaking community; bringing the total prize value to over $20,000 (not redeemable for cash).
Five semi-finalists will be selected and notified by March 23rd to prepare to pitch their project in a 10-minute live session on Saturday, March 28th, during the week of Treefort Music Fest at Idaho Film Society (please note venue is 21+).
The winner will then be announced that same day at the Local Gems screening at Filmfort, 3:00 PM at The Egyptian.
