MAGDALENA BAY
dance-pop, synth, dreamwave
Raise your hand if you were at The Egyptian in 2022 and witnessed the magic of Magdalena Bay first hand at the fest. For those of you who didn’t catch that magical experience, we get to do it allllll over again (except this time in Julia Davis Park).
I kiiiiinda don’t think you’re ready for the magical, masterful pop music of Magdalena Bay (a duo from Los Angeles composed of Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin). Their shows are full of glitz, glam, spandex, costume changes, interdimensional portals on stage(!?) and more so don’t miss ’em headline Main Stage on Friday (3/27)!

GEESE
post-punk, blues, art rock
Post-punk up and comers Geese are having a moment right now, and rightfully so. Calling them an indie rock band is like calling Ramen soup. There’s just so much more depth to it! Their latest album is full of garage riffs layered upon Ukrainian choir samples; hissing drum machines pulse softly behind screeching guitars; strange, lullaby-esque songs are interspersed with furious, repetitive experiments. With ‘Getting Killed,’ Geese balances a disarming new tenderness with an intensified anger, seemingly trading their love of classic rock for a disdain for music itself. Bop along with their hits Saturday (3/28) at Main Stage.
🎧 RIYL: MJ Lenderman, Water From Your Eyes, Wednesday, Led Zeppelin, Cate Le Bon, Jay Som, feeling big feels, wearing corduroy 🪿
FLIPTURN
indie rock, alt-pop, new-wave
Flipturn has been a band since their high school days in 2015, and their music has grown along with the band from college house shows in their home state of Florida to headlining festivals nationwide, garnering their reputation as an indie rock powerhouse.
By the time flipturn released their debut album, Shadowglow, they’d become genuine road warriors while still in their mid-20s, supporting the record with a nonstop string of tour dates. That dizzying experience inspired the band’s second release, Burnout Days. Caught halfway between 21st century indie rock, New Wave-inspired nostalgia, and rhythmic alt-pop, Burnout Days finds the beauty that exists between five friends, even in times of burnout. Flipout over flipturn at Main Stage on Thursday (3/26)!
🎧 RIYL: Briston Maroney (2024 TMF Alum!), Del Water Gap, Royal Otis, Fruit Bats, The Backseat Lovers, Mt. Joy, The Moss, Arcy Drive, thrifting for fest fits, owning too many tote bags, sad disco
FATHER JOHN MISTY
indie rock, folk, pop
Yep, Mr. Tillman will be gracing Boise with his presence. For those who don’t know, Joshua Tillman, better known as Father John Misty, has been an indie mainstay since the band’s conception in the early 2000’s.
While we can argue that his main genre is indie-folk, there are elements of pop, jazz, chamber orchestra, global influences, and sooo much more. His tune ‘Real Love Baby’ went viral on socials this past year, so whether you’ve been following him since the early aughts or just managed to hear that song scrolling TikTok, you know him and you LOVE him. Catch FJM headlining Main Stage on Sunday (3/29)!
🎧 RIYL: Fleet Foxes, Maggie Rogers, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Hozier, Hazlett, Dr. Dog, Sufjan Stevens, Drugdealer, Alice Phoebe Lou, philosophy, seasonal candles 🌄
MOTHER MOTHER
alt-rock, indie pop
Indie-rockers Mother Mother are weird. And that’s how they like it. They started in the scene 20 years ago, and have stuck together through thick and thin. In 2020, their song “Hayloft” suddenly went viral on TikTok, proceeded to go platinum in the U.S. and they’ve been riding that high ever since. Now, their latest album (also being released on their 20 year anniversary) has loads of new songs, mixed with retakes of old hits. Aptly named Nostalgia, it contains multitudes and tbh, Mother Mother can pull off just about anything. “We write about not fitting in, about anti-establishment, about finding your truth, about chickens and fingers and all sorts of quirky stuff,” lead singer Ryan Guldemond explains. How Treefort of them. Come get weird with Mother Mother.
🎧 RIYL: Sir Chloe, Autoheart, Vundabar, Scissor Sisters, K.FLAY (TMF alum!), Cavetown, Saint Motel, being unabashedly y-o-u! 👻
AMBER MARK
soul, R&B, smooth grooves
Amber Mark is a soulful, groovy, deeply incredible vocalist, whose music harkens back to OG 90’s R&B (her Sade covers are outta this world, stop reading and go listen now if you know what’s good for you) all with a modern twist. Having lived all over the world, Amber Mark blends her deep knowledge of international styles into a stunning musical tapestry, revealing new intricacies with every listen.
You may have caught Franc Moody playing their Amber Mark remix of the song “Lose My Cool” at Treefort Music Hall during the 2025 fest–absolute banger, and we can’t wait to hear the original LIVE! Amber Mark’s talent is truly unmatched, and over the years she’s grown a loyal global fanbase all eager for her next move. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Main Stage on Sunday (3/29)!

THE BEACHES
pop-rock, alt, revenge songs |
Canadian pop-rock queens The Beaches are gonna grace the stage at Treefort! Composed of sisters Jordan Miller and Kylie Miller, plus besties Leandra Earl and Eliza Enman-McDaniel, the band has seen each other through everything, from middle school — they originally formed during their early 2000s adolescence — to high-school graduation and beyond. The four members have formed a deep friendship that has carried them through coming out, late nights in the studio, and the ends of relationships. Let’s be real, nothing really bonds people together more than hating each other’s exes. Their tune “Blame Brett” went absolutely viral (an acerbic pop-rock knockout Jordan calls “a song for all the hot messes out there,”), and we now all hate Brett. Mark Hoppus (blink182), Nelly Furtado, and Demi Lovato are all fans of the track, and we know you will be too. Catch them Thursday (3/26) at Main Stage! |
🎧 RIYL: Wet Leg, The Aces, The Last Dinner Party, Royel Otis, Blondshell (also coming to the fest in 2026), HAIM, Wolf Alice, being hot and messy, fishnets, Doc Martens 🏖️ |

St. Paul & The Broken Bones are a powerhouse soul ensemble from Alabama known for their electrifying live shows and impassioned vocals. Featuring keys, trumpet, trombone, sax, and a whole lotta sass from the vocals. Their new self-titled sixth album marks a creative renewal—melding the band’s adventurous spirit with a return to soulful, song-focused roots with blends psych-funk grooves, gospel-tinged ballads, and cinematic rock flourishes. Over a decade of evolution, and the most badass cape you’ve ever seen on stage, we’re gearing up for a game changer of a show live on the Main Stage Saturday (3/28)!

INJI
indie art-pop, synth, house
Turkish-born, NYC-based artist INJI (Inci Gürün) is flipping the script on dance-pop — fusing whip-smart lyrics, floor-shaking beats, and razor-sharp wit into club anthems that hit hard on the dancefloor. Though she started as a classically trained pianist, she’s turned to cheeky house bangers. She’s slayed at fests like Lollapalooza Paris, Osheaga, and Outside Lands. Get ready to shake your booty and call out your awful ex while singing along to ‘GASLIGHT’ at Main Stage on Friday (3/27)!
🎧 RIYL: Chappell Roan, Magdalena Bay, Disco Lines, Flyana Boss, Marc Rebillet, Blusher, Sofi Tukker, Fcukers, thigh high boots, blocking your ex 📵
EVAN HONER
acoustic folk, indie-americana, country
While he rose to fame thanks to his cover of Tyler Childers’ “Jersey Giant” becoming a viral juggernaut, Evan Honer’s easy listenin,’ alt-country, americana, full-hearted folksy goodness belongs on everyone’s playlists. He started making music while still in high school, and the heart of his craft has grown along with him as he quickly remade himself into a road warrior, balancing the challenges of early adulthood with an unbending commitment to music. His latest work has become even more eclectic, with horn arrangements, pedal steel swells, and even contributions from his roommates!. At the center of that sound is Evan Honer himself: an acclaimed songwriter, storyteller, and bleeding-heart vocalist who, after years on the move, has learned to slow down a bit and appreciate the moment.
“My life completely changed this past year,” he says. “I’m learning to be happy with where I’m at. I’m grateful that I get to stand onstage and sing songs I wrote in my bedroom, and people know the words and sing them back to me. How can you be upset about that?”
🎧 RIYL: Caamp, Noah Cahan, Waylon Wyatt, Zach Bryan, Ethan Regan, Tyler Childers, Mt. Joy, harf., Gregory Alan Isakov, watching sunsets, summer poetry 🌻

JMSN
alternative R&B, electronica, soul
Get ready for some sultry R&B with JMSN. Detroit-bred American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist JMSN has been to Treefort before (in 2017!!!), and we are so stoked to have him back! Known for his genre-blending, soulful “Hippie R&B” sound, mixing R&B, soul, funk, jazz, and electronic elements, often handling production and video direction himself for his independent label, White Room Records, and collaborating with artists like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. He is a phenomenal voice, a fabulous songwriter, and he has always stayed true to his unique sound. He’s noted for his intricate studio work and emotionally intense live shows, as well as being a prolific producer, having worked with USHER, Mac Miller, Ab-Soul, KAYTRANADA, Freddie Gibbs, and more.
🎧 RIYL: Blood Orange, Erykah Badu, Cleo Soul, Thee Sacred Souls, Marvin Gaye, Omar Apollo, being a total hottie 👖
MACHINE GIRL
electronic, digital hardcore, industrial
This band is the physical representation of a mindf*ck. ‘Nuff said, right? Rave, metal, punk, pummeling electronic (and real) drums collide and splinter like shrapnel into kaleidoscopic blasts of vibrant color and visceral sound. To be honest, it’s sorta difficult to nail down their genre, because they jump so seamlessly (or maybe I should say they jumpcut seamlessly?) between hardcore, digitally thrashed electronic, breakcore, noise-rap, synth…the list could go on and on. They’ll make you literally taste the rainbow.
After their arrival on the scene in 2012, Machine Girl have amassed millions of fans who love music as freaky as they are. As you know, Treefort is all about music discovery, and even if this doesn’t seem like your bag, I highly recommend you go check them out. Their music is gritty, dirty, unpredictable, beautiful, and utterly brilliant.
🎧 RIYL: Trent Reznor, femtanyl (also playing TMF), Radiohead, Crystal Castles, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Turnstile, 100 gecs, Cowgirl Clue, Lightning Bolt, living in the pit, fighting the system
BLONDSHELL
grunge rock, indie, britpop
Singer-songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum, aka Blondshell, is an alt-rock supernova. The internet’s words, not mine, but it’s hard to disagree. Her 90’s grunge rock inspired tunes are raw and crunchy, with journal entry lyrics that’ll speak to even the gruffest of listeners (and the soft-hearted, ofc). She’s been featured on late-night TV performances, countless year-end accolades, her vulnerable single ‘Joiner’ landed on Obama’s Best Songs of 2023 list, and she covered the Talking Heads for A24’s Stop Making Sense tribute. Come sing along with Blondshell!

DUCKWRTH
funk, soul, R&B
Meet Duckwrth aka Jared Leonardo Lee– LA based rapper, singer, producer, and songwriter. He combines funk, soul, hip-hop, R&B, and rock into a wild riot that doesn’t try to fit in a mold. It’s loud, messy, honest, and fully in its feelings. The sounds in his latest release, All American F*kboy, jump from punk to R&B to house music without warning, but that’s kinda the point. On this latest album is a song with the lyrics “You text me on a plane, I’m just tryna watch Shrek” and I don’t think I’ve ever felt more seen….ever.
Duckwrth has been compared to artists like Andre 3000, Parliament, and Hendrix; he’s collaborated with artists like A-Trak, Cordae, Tobe Nwigwe, and Machinedrum; and his single “Start a Riot”, featuring Shaboozey, was even featured in the 2018 film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. This show is gonna be wild, so don’t miss out!
🎧 RIYL: Outkast, Donald Glover, N.E.R.D., EARTHGANG, Remi Wolf and Paw Paw Rod (both were at TMF last year!), TOKiMONSTA, Young Franco, vibin’, chillin’, dancin’ 🦆
SAMIA

With her sharp, poetic lyrics and a voice that goes from delicate whisper-soft to fiery in a beat, Samia has quickly become one of the most exciting voices in the indie scene, captivating audiences with her magnetic live performances. She’s opened for indie-folk greats like Maggie Rogers, Lucy Dacus, and Courtney Barnett!
Her summery melodies and gentle guitar are paired with fun pop moments and deeply evocative lyrics. Also, she’s a huge fan of Father John Misty and word has it she’s geeking out about playing the same festival as him 😉
Samia is the perfect balance of vulnerability and power—her music grabs you by the heart, but makes you want to dance at the same time.

HAUTE & FREDDY
electronic, synth, carnival-pop
Idk that you’re ready for some Haute & Freddy, y’all! The dazzling brainchild of Michelle Buzz and Lance Shipp, this pop duo has a love for ren-faire fashion and underground club culture, and really don’t give a f*ck, and they’ve got loads of talent. They’ve previously written songs for the like of Britney Spears, Calvin Harris, and Katie Perry, and now they’re the ringleaders of their own little freak circus.
They’ve got synth-pop. They’ve got theatricality. They’ve got insane costumes! We’re basically gonna be reliving Sophia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, but make it Berghain (and if you’re unfamiliar with either of those references…just wait and see).
🎧 RIYL: Robyn, Depeche Mode, Kylie Minogue, Magdalena Bay, Goldfrapp, Empress Of (TMF alum!), Christine and the Queens, Pet Shop Boys, Chappell Roan, living out your ren faire dreams 🤡
