Day 1 of Treefort 2022

Happy Treefort 10!

Assemble your dance crew, put on your prep-playlist, dust off your fanny pack and whip out your steel cups because it’s time to get downnnn at #Treefort10! We’re so excited to celebrate our TENTH festival with you!!

Slowly get your festival legs ready for the next five days – remember it’s a marathon, not a sprint!

Watch Treefort come to life! Dance to a wide variety of music, listen to captivating storytellers, look out for live muralists, sashay the night away with drag queens — there’s literally so much to explore on Day 1 of Treefort 10. We’re hitting the ground running with Storyfort, Artfort, loads of music, and second chance shows.

Pick up your Treefort wristband on Grove between 12th & 13th from 2 – 10pm to get the party started. Make sure to explore the Treefort 10 souvenirs at Main Stage – everything is in small quantities so snag it up while you can!

Need help during the fest? A visit at the friendly Ranger Station will do the trick.

There is no way we could pack all of the wonder into one post but here are some of today’s highlights!

As we start day one-derful, please remember, all Treefort attendees are expected to adhere to the Treefort Health Pledge. Have a mask on you at all times as masks are required in some areas of the festival and at some sets (marked in the app + with onsite signage). Keep in mind people have varying comfort levels as we acclimate to new CDC and local recommendations, so when in doubt, mask up!

MUSIC

Kicking things off at Main Stage* with trippy dippy tunes is Seattle pysch-rockers Acid Tongue at 4:20pm (heyy-ohh!). Then, get groovy with Shannon and the Clams and their surfy retro-rock feels, followed by some fantastical, psychedelic Americana by Mercury Rev. We’re closing out Main Stage with one of indie rock’s most heart-wrenching artists Snail Mail – you won’t want to miss it!

For more outdoor vibes, check out The Hideout stage – sandwiched in the parking lot between Manfred’s and Woodland Empire – that’ll load you up with a kickass lineup of rock ‘n’ roll and funk!

Be sure to scope out the Linen Building* featuring locals VEMM, Canadian alternative singer JayWood. Blvck Hippie switches things up with some mid-west rock later in the evening, with LA dream punk duo All Things Blue closing out the night.

For the eclectic listener, there are great tunes all night long at The Olympic, starting with With Child at 6:20pm and finishing the night with the gorgeous string arrangements and visceral lyrics from Portland’s Horse Feathers at 11:40pm.

End it all at the crowned stage at Neurolux featuring local band Rodeo Screams who “make weird music for weird people”, followed by synthy riffy quartet Roller Dome and Luxembourg duo Francis of Delirium…who just dropped three new singles!

…and this is just the beginning! Enjoy other shows at El Korah Shrine*, The Shredder*, Sonic Temple, Pengilly’s Saloon, and Reef.
