Shaped by their passionate, honest perspective of the world around them and pure musical prowess at his fingertips, So Sus writes music for when it’s okay not to be okay. With their signature sound at the intersection of wave, future bass, and trap, So Sus bridges emotive sonic elements with hard-hitting components for a maximal listening experience. Touched with beauty and just a drop of melancholy, So Sus delivers a trademark sound that comes directly from their soul and the production of each new song proves to be a cathartic experience for the producer. In addition to their unique blend of styles across the genre spectrum, So Sus is drawn to the voice as not only an instrument, but a concept as well. It’s the reason behind the name for their debut Voices EP and why they succeed in using the voice in unexpected ways in his music. With all of his production techniques combined, the end result is something that feels real, emotional, and even therapeutic. Since their debut in 2016, So Sus has released their stimulating sounds on electronic music’s most notable labels, including Monstercat, Deadbeats, Bitbird, Circus, Jadu Dala, Parametric Records (Atlantic), and Alter/Ego — they’ve also been recognized by key voices in the scene such as Run The Trap, UKF, EARMILK, and FUXWITHIT. Their second EP Genesis has accumulated millions of streams across Spotify and SoundCloud and have become staples in the live sets of dance music’s power players. In 2021, So Sus’ debut Voices EP was even nominated for Dance Recording of the Year by The Juno Awards in Canada.
