Music Talks
Dr. Shannon Switzer is a music audiologist based in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Vermont and earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Northwestern University. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the National Hearing Conservation Association.
She is the Director of the Musicians Hearing Clinic at Sensaphonics, which is the only in-ear monitor company in the world dedicated to hearing conservation. She also connects with patients on Tuned, a telehealth platform driven by the mission to expand access to high-quality hearing healthcare. She is a featured music audiologist within the MusiCares and Tuned partnership, which has given her the opportunity to work with musicians, sound engineers, and music industry professionals across the country.
In her free time, she plays clarinet in the Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band in Chicago and loves listening to live music of all genres (while wearing high-fidelity hearing protection, of course)."
