RU57Y grew up near Los Angeles listening to the big electronica artists of the 90's. After graduating high school in Boise in the mid 2000's he learned to DJ from some friends and became immersed in the sounds of house and techno. He still DJs to this current day and can be heard playing clubs and festivals around Idaho. You can also hear him host The Underground on Radio Boise on Saturday night. In recent years RU57Y decided to pursue his dream of performing DAWless live sets with nothing but hardware electronic instruments. From what started with a single piece of gear, RU57Y now performs experimental house and techno using a variety of analog synthesizers, samplers, effect pedals and even eurorack modular.
