Boise-born, Idaho native, MacKenzie Brown submerses herself into Boise's tech scene, dedicating time and support to local cybersecurity and technology-based groups in the community. Her passions include bridging tech sector gaps, with a focus on areas such as women in technology, cybersecurity recruiting, and mentorship. By day, she brings both technical and research experience to her role as an Incident Response Consultant for Microsoft’s Detection and Response Team (DART). There, she works with worldwide customers, taking a deeper dive into their cybersecurity operations and environment, using the current threat intelligence of adversary techniques and tools for either proactive or reactive cybersecurity support. When she's not committed to any of these objectives, she enjoys travel, bourbon, music, cats, and friends like a normal human.
