Kim West is a musician, attorney, and lover of all things thrifted. Hailing from the ever-sunny Seattle, Washington, Kim co-fronts epic PNW rock outfit Smokey Brights and interstellar instrumental project mega cat with her husband and feline co-parent, Ryan Devlin. Kim and Ryan also operate their home studio, the Tiger Room, in the basement of their bright green North Seattle home where the couple craft music for podcasts, video games, film, and television. Kim is a dyed in the wool Pacific Northwesterner, graduating from Seattle’s Garfield High School before attending Lewis and Clark College and Seattle University School of Law. She recently wrapped up three terms on the Vera Project’s Board of Directors, where she worked to create opportunities and safe spaces for Seattle’s youth and creative communities. Kim also volunteers her time with King County Bar Association’s Neighborhood Legal Clinics, providing pro bono legal services to low income and marginalized individuals. Kim and Ryan live in North Seattle with their two Siamese cats.
