Katie Dandrea
Storyfort
Katie Dandrea is a writer and dancer originally from Boise, Idaho. Katie studied English Literature at Boise State, which led to her current career as an overeducated barista. Katie’s work has a flair for satire and considers shifting identities, climate optimism, and Richard Brautigan’s poetry where he feels like a turd taped to a garbage-can lid. She has been featured in local readings through Backyardists events, Story Forward, and last year’s Storyfort. When Katie isn’t revising her work while crouched over her laptop on the cold tiles of the bathroom floor, she enjoys climbing natural/plastic iterations of rocks, going on walks, and standing in used bookstores for hours on end.
