Canadian artist Ché Aimee Dorval’s blend of glitter jacked soul and hyper lush alt-rock is a dream weaver ticket to getting lost in one’s own thoughts. Featuring soaring vocals that oscillate between soothing and crushing, Ché’s highly anticipated 3rd album ‘The Crowned,’ co-produced by Bob Rock and released by Icons Creating Evil art in 2023, is almost uncategorizable. This year showcased Ché collaborating with the late Gord Downie (The Tragically Hip) on his posthumously released song “Is There Nowhere”, featuring on Devin Townsend's newest album ‘Lightwork’, and performing at NXNE, Rifflandia, VIFF, and Breakout West. Ché was also a special guest support on The Gathering's Anneke Van Geirsbergen's Sweep under the Stars EU Tour and in November 2023, she launched her first-ever headline UK tour, promptly selling out London's St Pancras Old Church. Always forward-focused, Ché gears up for another busy year ahead, carrying the spirit and sensibility ingrained in her youth, now propelled by the drive and vision that define her as an artist—a product of passion rather than curation.
