A true product of the high desert, Charity Kiss infuses garage rock with just a touch of western twang. Originally formed in 2017 by three high school friends, the band has grown up alongside its individual members. What started with Joyce Manor worship has evolved into a brand of indie rock that puts high priority on lyrical content and thrash factor. Charity kiss has never been a band that overcomplicates things, opting for memorable melodies and hooks over flashy musicianship. True to his folk roots, lead man, Patrick Hansen, abides by the popular adage "three chords and the truth" in his writing process. When asked about how their hometown Reno influences their music, the answer is simple: You can take a band out of the sagebrush but you can't take the goat heads out of their Levi's.
