ann annie is the stage name for Portland based composer Eli Goldberg. In his formative years, ann annie was introduced to music by attempting to learn various scores on a small electric piano. Eventually translating this into soft ambient atmospheres using tape and various synthesizers. Although primarily an instrumental artist, over the last few years ann annie worked with artists/vocalists as an instrumentalist and producer. Releasing a collaborative EP in 2022 – “Homeward”, with Searows, Rose Brokenshire, and Portland based Amos Heart. For ann annie’s upcoming album “The Wind”, Goldberg picked up Cello, Clarinet, & Pedal Steel exploring further adding elements of classical music and composition. Goldberg will be touring "The Wind" this spring with a cellist and saxophonist.
