Alexa Maldonado is an artist from Idaho who is currently based in Queens, New York. She grew up in Post Falls, Idaho and attended Boise State University before moving to New York City. For most of her life, she used art as an outlet for creative expression and stress relief. However, she started taking her art career more seriously after becoming a sign artist. She loves illustrating digitally but has a passion for watercolor, gouache, and hand lettering. Beyond technique, her art also serves as a canvas for self-discovery and cultural expression. As an artist of Mexican and Paraguayan descent, she is on a perpetual quest to explore new ways of infusing her identity into her work.
