2ŁØT was formed during times of immense change and uncertainty, when each member found themselves at a pivotal point in their lives. United by a shared purpose, the band takes its name from the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, intentionally crossing it out as a declaration to resist entropy. 2ŁØT aims to activate and inspire people through music and social advocacy. Their mission goes beyond entertainment, focusing on key causes like overcoming addiction, empowering youth to discover their gifts, and advocating for criminal justice reform. The group consists of five members from diverse backgrounds, each bringing a unique blend of influences that range from hip hop, soul, funk, and jazz to rock. As avid fans of electronic music, they have fused these genres into their own sound, which they call Electronic Jam Music (EJM)—a genre that marries electronic elements with the improvisational spirit of classic jam bands.
