ARTIST MERCH
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ
All artists are welcome to sell their merch at the venue of their performance and we will have a designated merch spot set up at each venue (we will also be selling Treefort merchandise at select venues). Please see below for your selling options.
IF YOU ARE SELLING MERCH AT ANY VENUE OTHER THAN MAIN STAGE OR THE HIDEOUT
Per Idaho tax law, every band selling merch is required to collect the 6% Idaho sales tax and file it after the festival. To do this, you will need to request a free temporary seller’s permit before the festival begins (instructions below) and you must file a return within 15 days after the festival, even if you have no sales. If the form is not returned it could result in a LARGE FINE TO THE ARTIST from the State of Idaho. Artists are responsible for selling their own merch. There are no venue or festival merch cuts.
IF YOU ARE SELLING MERCH AT THE MAIN STAGE OR THE HIDEOUT
Please scroll down to the “Main Stage and Hideout Merch” section for further details and action items.
HERE ARE THE STEPS TO GET YOUR TEMPORARY SELLER’S PERMIT (deadline Monday 3/24):

MAIN STAGE AND HIDEOUT MERCH
If you are playing at the Main Stage or the Hideout and selling merch you can choose between the following options: 100% Artist Sells or an 80/20 Festival Sells split.
IF YOU CHOOSE 100% ARTIST SELLS
Per Idaho tax law, every band selling merch is required to collect the 6% Idaho sales tax and file it after the festival. To do this, you will need to request a free temporary seller’s permit before the festival begins (instructions above) and you must file a return within 15 days after the festival, even if you have no sales. If the form is not returned it could result in a LARGE FINE TO THE ARTIST from the State of Idaho. Artists are responsible for selling their own merch. There are no venue or festival merch cuts.
IF YOU CHOOSE 80/20 FESTIVAL SELLS
We will sell the merch for you and take care of the 6% Idaho Sales Tax and filing. Please fill out the following Merch Contract + Inventory Sheet and bring your merch backstage and check in with your DOS contact (do not bring to the merch booth please). If you would like to submit these forms in advance, please email them to our Merchandise Manager (arianna@theduckclub.com).
