Kristina Lao (she/her) is a multi-disciplinary artist and changemaker from Hong Kong who champions sustainable, fulfilling creative careers through demonstration, facilitation and education. As an artist, she has had a 15-year career in music, voice and film, in Network Television, on National Tours and Global brand campaigns. As a creative career strategist, Kristina has developed a series of success frameworks to navigate the Entertainment Industry. Through coaching, facilitating and hosting at university and industry level, she has created proven strategies and tools to get out of ‘Starving Artist or Arts Worker’ mode and curate a rewarding creative life. Kristina mentors exclusively through MusicBC’s Jumpstart program, and manages Partnerships & Events at DigiBC, the Creative Technology Industry Association of British Columbia. She is particularly passionate about championing careers that elevate and celebrate the global majority and increasing representation of equity-deserving people in Entertainment.
