Emily Chivers (she/her) manages the Boise City Department of Arts & History’s Grant Program including administering the annual Arts & History Grant, the Catalyst Grant Pilot Program, and developing professional development services to uplift and strengthen Boise’s cultural sector. Additionally, she identifies community partnerships and coordinates collaborative public programs between the department and Boise’s nonprofit and cultural sector. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Oregon State University and a Master of Arts in Museum Professions with an emphasis in Education from Seton Hall University. Her career has been rooted in educational and public programming roles at several museums across the country including the Newark Museum of Art, the September 11th Memorial Museum in New York, the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, and the Idaho State Museum.
