2018 is quickly coming to a close which means it’s time to start the celebrations and welcome in a brand new year (finally…..amiright?!)

We’ll be ringing in the new year with tons of fort announcements, so stay tuned!


In the meantime, we’re here to help you find a resolution you can keep.


Jumping around venue to venue discovering new bands and hopping from fort to fort is the best part of Treefort. From sun up to sun down, every day is a top-notch experience. You can find something beautiful in every little moment. Discover a new passion! Take that yoga class! Pick up that book!

Just like Treefort 2018 artist Andrew W.K. once said: “Staying positive doesn’t mean you don’t feel sad or scared sometimes, it just means you keep on going anyway.”



There’s plenty to learn at Treefort. Dive into the history of beer at Alefort. Ask the director of your new favorite indie short what inspires them at a Filmfort Q&A. Join a cooking demo at Foodfort.

SolarRoadways, a company that make roadways, driveways, and parking lots out of solar-powered panels, will be presenting at Hackfort 2019. Admission to Hackfort is included in a Treefort Pass, but if you’re gonna be nerding out all weekend you might want to get a Hackfort Pass (available soon).



Don’t just stick to the same old sound — spice it up with some new tunes. From local, regional, national and even international artists playing Treefort, you’re bound to find a new fave band (or 32) to add to your playlists in 2019! Heck, we’ve even made a few playlists for you already, all featuring Treefort 2019 artists — listen now!

The first and second round of Treefort 2019 artists have been announced, and there’s a third announce coming in the new year! That’s a lot of new music for you to explore before it’s Treefort time. Get a closer look at some of the artists in the first round and second round and then check out the full lineup here.



Reading fills you with endless knowledge and interesting stories. Storyfort will be buzzing during Treefort in various nooks around the city featuring a variety of writers, poets, and storytellers. At one of this year’s storytelling events, Border Stories: Modern Immigration, immigrants will share their stories behind the policies and path toward citizenship and residency in our country.

Authors that will be attending Storyfort 2019 include Camille Acker, who recently released her debut short story collection, Training School for Negro Girls, Tommy Orange, who recently released There There, a multi-generational story about the lives of urban Native Americans, and Jamie Ford, bestselling author of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet. Laughter keeps you happy and healthy! The more you laugh, the less you stress. Comedyfort will be serving up loads of laughter thanks to headliners Jackie Kashian, Yedoye Travis, and Sam Tallent. Get to know the headliners here. More comedians to be announced soon!

Comedyfort takes place Thursday through Sunday of Treefort 8 (March 20th-24th, 2019). Admission to Comedyfort is included with a Treefort Pass.



Movies are amazing lenses into other perspectives and worlds. And watching movies is fun! Filmfort presents movies you will love, movies with universal themes that make the local global and the global local, and movies that inspire, unite and celebrate.

Move your body! Movement of any kind is the best way to look good and feel good.

Get movin’ and groovin’ at Yogafort 2019! This year there will be several magical offerings including shamanic ambient musician East Forest, international master yoga instructor Cristi Christensen, world-renowned musician/ teacher/energy healer Masood Ali Khan, and yogini/DJ/guitarist Bibi McGill. Yogafort passes are on sale now.



Indulge your sense of culinary creativity this year! Foodfort features a bustling banquet of local bites served by a creative crew of local chefs and farmers.
