Music!

Whip out your Trail Guide and study the map because it’s time to plan your route! Day 2 has close to 100 bands (that’s not even counting the second chance shows) and over 15 venues, filled to the brim with bands and music lovers!

A few highlights-

El Korah Shrine is going to be badass for the entire night! It starts with the swoonable tunes of local Logan Hyde and ends with Omar Souleyman’s Syrian Techno dance party, be prepaired to smile ear to ear and dance until you drop. Sandwiched between that goodness are surf rockers The Shivas, Portland Mercury said “The Shivas might be Portlands best band.” Indie Londoners Happyness will be rocking out the Linen Building, according to Stereogum “Happyness are one of the finest new bands on the face of this Earth,” so… if that’s not enough reason for you to go, following their set will be Aussie pop foursome Twerps. Warm up with self described junkerdash locals Hillfolk Noir and then stick around for Trampled by Turtles hybrid folk at the Knitting Factory. Psychedelic and loud as f**k Brett Netson & The Snakes will be shredding at The Crazy Horse. If you didn’t see Tom Brosseau at Cathedral of The Rockies last night see why NPR says he “possesses one of the most arresting voices in folk music today” tonight at The District.

Bottoms up! Grab a pint of Payette’s Axe Handle at any Treefort Venue. It goes really well with head banging, chilling, and a gentle sway from side to side.
