Up for anything? Down to help? The Treefort Cadets (7th-9th grade volunteers) will return! Registration is open now.

Kidfort is all ages and open to the public. Kidfort festivities will take place Friday through Sunday during Treefort 2020 (March 25th-29th).

The Oregon Shadow Theatre is a Portland, Oregon based company specializing in the art of shadow puppetry. Their award-winning shadow plays have toured across the United States and in Canada, including performances at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the Detroit Institute of Arts, Festival Place in Alberta, the Chilliwack Cultural Centre in British Columbia, the Puppeteers of America National Puppet Festivals, the Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts and The Northwest Puppet Center in Seattle, Washington. OST productions are noted for exquisite, colorful puppets, live music and sound effects, and lively good humor.

This year at Kidfort, they’ll bring their version of “Puss in Boots”, which is set in Louisiana as the characters get ready for the Mardi Gras parade!

Brand new in 2020, Belinda Bowler‘s children’s album The Keeper will be featured at Kidfort! It is a collection of 15 songs that are funny, educational, whimsical and full of surprises. Some of these songs were written in collaboration with young students and some are old favorites. Within each of them is story, something to learn, something to make you laugh and inspire you to sing along.

Magician Zach Stevens will be on the streets of Kidfort 2020, sleight of hand card tricks are up his sleeve.

Catch him on Sunday, March 29, 2020, in the Kidfort lot!

Yoga for kids and their big people! Kidfort + Yogafort bring you Family Yoga with Sally Roberts.

A gentle teacher, Sally brings a fun, playful and inclusive class to Kidfort with her intention of strengthening our relationships with ourselves, our families, and our community through yoga.

Kidfort + Hackfort come together to welcome viral video master @goldyeller to Treefort 2020!

Jared Jacobs will offer a one hour, interactive workshop for kids 5 and older, explaining how he makes his viral stop motion videos with Legos.

We showcase a lot of artists at Treefort, and not just adults, but kiddos too! Know a talented youngster? They can audition for a spot in Kidfort’s Youth Variety Showcase.

Kidfort will be holding auditions for this year’s Youth Variety Showcase, where any kid who likes to sing, dance, act — anything! — can have a chance to shine during Treefort Music Fest 2020.

Tell your favorite little superstar to get ready: auditions will be held in February 2020. Those who audition must be available to perform at Treefort Music Fest, March 27, 28, or 29, 2020.

Any questions? Shoot an email to kidfort@treefortmusicfest.com.

Kidfort Dance Battle follows a tournament style, one versus one format and the top competitors leave with a prize! Dance battles will occur by age: pre-K, K-2nd grades and 3rd-6th grades. Dance battles are a competition. That doesn’t mean it’s all serious though! Competitions themselves are a good chance for dancers to showcase their own style. Win or lose, all dancers should feel hungry to grow more and work harder.

Everyone is connected through dance and music so it brings people together to form a tight community. The most important part is having fun by either watching dancers exchange or being a part of that exchange. That being said, audiences at a dance battle event are participating by giving feedback and energy to the dancers who in turn give energy back.

More Kidfort activities, performers and crossovers to come! Stay tuned!
