2018 Showcases, Day Parties, & Second Chance Shows

Festival fun starts before Treefort venues even open! Get Treefort Ready with special Showcases, Second Chance Shows & Day Parties during Treefort 2018.

Second chance shows are official unofficial Treefort shows. While these shows are not “technically” a part of Treefort (you won’t find them on the schedule), they are hosted by our friends, pals and partners and give you a chance to see an artist you may have missed due to conflicts in your schedule, napping, catching up with pals at Alefort or resting your weary legs at Filmfort!

Whatever the reason, here are all the details you need! Check back often as things get updated.

There will be over 30 bands playing over the course of the weekend at TreeFunk. This free, 21+ open to the public event is sponsored by our badass beer sponsors Payette Brewing and New Belgium Brewing. Food will be provided by Gem Street Kitchen.

Record Exchange In-Store Performances

Every year, our amazing, historical record store, The Record Exchange hosts free, all-ages in-store performances during Treefort. Most in-store performances are secret, surprise shows that are announced the day of the show via The Record Exchange’s social media and mailing list. Also swing by to check out their amazing selection of new & used music plus all kinds of goodies, merch, concert tickets and even coffee!

New for 2018, Radio Boise will be rocking their own stage on the corner of 11th and Grove, just south of Alefort, next to the Owyhee. As their programming is growing, the lineup will reflect the combo of entertaining talk, music, comedy and cultural showcases you expect from our favorite community radio station. From Storyfort poetry slammers on Friday, to a live broadcast of the new Culture Junkies podcast on Saturday to a hip hop showcase hosted by Radio Boise DJs Winkle and Andy O., along with a live simulcast featuring Portland bands and Portland station XRAY fm on Sunday, Radio Boise will have the variety all weekend during Treefort.

Skatefort is a celebration of skateboarding, music and community. Skateboarding and music have always gone hand in hand and our goal is to bring people together at a world class skatepark to celebrate our creativity.

Everyone is invited to come skate the park together while listening to some amazing music. In addition to bands playing at Rhodes Skate Park, Boise Skateboard Association are bringing in some visiting pro skate teams. More information on Treefort 2018 activities here.
