Day 1: Happy Treefort!


The bunting is up and the sixth annual Treefort Music Fest is here — let’s kick it off in style! Join us while we catch some shows, watch some films, and attend readings by published authors.

Local ambassadors of groove Sly Moon Sutra get the party started 6:00pm at El Korah Shrine. Star Warrior brings the nostalgia with retro 80s’ dance music, followed by locals BLVVRED VISION. GosT opens for Magic Sword and French outfit Carpenter Brut.

Pop into Neurolux for a night of hard rock with local punk band The Hand, Minneapolis rockers The Modern Era, and grandmasters of grunge Meat Puppets. (21+)

This is the first year Boise All-ages Movement Project (BAMP) is hosting a venue (on 8th & Idaho next to Bittercreek). Music starts at 6:30pm with local pop slop band Regular Sounds and ends with London trio Happyness at 12:30am.

End day one with techno house music at Fatty’s, featuring DJs Jakzon, Dirt Monkey, Mamm0th and Sautrah. (21+)

All events at The Owyhee

Filmfort kicks off with the search for a psychedelic toad in Arizona in Toad to Nowhere at 4:00pm. At 5:30pm, there will be a presentation of a photography project on refugees, Stronger Shines the Light Inside, paired with short film Rita following the life of an Idaho refugee. There will be a question and answer session after the showing. The night ends with a screening of Charlie Vs Goliath followed by a Q&A session.

Performance Art

All events at Boise Contemporary Theater

Watch Sayako Knode’s choreography set in motion by dancers of Idaho Dance Theatre at 6:00pm. Musical act Tora’dan will play before the stage is given to Ballet Idaho choreographed by Daniel Ojeda.


Listen to bouncers tell stories of their experiences during happy hour at 10th Street Station 4:00-7:00pm (21+ only). There will be a raffle! New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Nielson will read, talk about her process and answer questions at Rediscovered Bookshop 7:00pm.

Box Office

Pick up your bright, shiny new week-long accessory at The Owyhee today from 3:00-10:00pm. Remember to bring your ID and ticket confirmation with you. Only you can pick up your pass!

Second Chance Shows

TreeFunk is hosted by PreFunk throughout the entire festival. Check out bands like Dressy Bessy and Arc Flash from 5:00pm to 9:40pm. (21+)
